Clarkston Cultural Arts organizes a variety of efforts throughout the year. In between community outreach, projects, and organizing opportunities for our members, we are putting together some amazing community events that highlight arts and culture in Clarkston, Michigan. As updated information becomes available for each event, a link will be posted below for either the registration page and/or the Facebook event page.

Youth Programming

Let's Paint! Summer Camp (KIDS)
Do you have an young artist in your midst? Painting Camp for Kids is the place to be for your art kid this summer! This camp is packed with all of the things your child loves to paint. We will explore a wide range of painting techniques and artist's styles. Each day we will focus on a new projects with a chance to complete previous projects throughout the day.

Coloured Pencil Camp (KIDS)

Does you child love to draw? Aspiring young art students will be introduced to various artists while developing basic skills in colored pencil drawing. We will be learning techniques in water colour pencil illustration as well. Come join the fun! Classes taught by artist Pamela Palmer BFA of the Artist’s Apprentice.

EASELS IN THE PARK

All ages are welcome to come and paint with us during Concerts in the Park (hosted by the Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce). Children must be supervised. Painting begins around 6:30 PM during most concerts. Please check the Clarkston Cultural Arts page on Facebook, or Clarkston Arts on Twitter for last minute changes. Volunteers to help set up and tear down are always needed. Please contact us at [email protected] if you’d like to volunteer.

MASALA - Dance and Movement

Attention Ladies... Not your typical dance class!

Masala- meaning "spicy mix" is an easy to follow expressive form of dance. High energy or slow flow, pace is up to you.

Mix of Traditional E. Indian Banghara, Bollywood Belly dance, hip hop, and creative flow. Light warm up, expands to a personalized energy level finishing with a soothing cool down. Coordination/dance experience NOT required! 

Just a willingness to let your inner goddess soar!

FOR: All sizes and ages of woman 18 and older who are in general good health
