Tonya Henderson is a visionary energy artist, creating paintings that reflect the flow, or movement of energy, universal landscapes, visions, and dreams. Each piece contains a fluidity of movement, which integrates circles, spirals, and swirls of color into landscapes or places of the mind.
Tonya creates Personal Energy Portraits or Readings on Canvas. These are channeled works of art that reveal aspects of the sitter's life, personality, personal obstacles & challenges, while directing them to their path of least resistance. Bringing them fresh outlooks, insights, and clarity.
As a media artist, Tonya works in acrylics and watercolors. Although most of her work is created with acrylics, her watercolors are mainly nature based and have a soft delicate approach to the subject matter. Often these works are created in a minimalistic style with an occasional flair for the abstract.
She has exhibited her work across the U.S.A. and currently resides in MI. where she teaches acrylic painting techniques at the Flint Institute of Art, her home studio, and provides acrylic painting workshops throughout the Great Lakes region.
